What is water hammer?
It is the knocking and rattling that can sometimes be heard when a rush of water is enabled by opening a valve or flushing a toilet, opening a faucet, etc. and then shutting it off quickly. The water slams into the termination point of the pipe, causing a rush backwards where it meets oncoming water. It can range from annoying to destructively blowing pipe apart. It’s a huge problem with big irrigation systems but is present even in small homes. Cheapest protection is a 12” piece of capped copper extending above each fixture (Air chamber) but they sell water hammer devices too, they’re like shock absorbers.

To be honest I am not sure yet but we will be ready for anything! On the trailer on Wednesday’s nights outside of the pizzeria we were selling out of around 220 pizzas a night, but that was for one night only and twelve inch pizzas not 18. Eventually I would like to be on the 150-200 weekend range with 75 during the week, in addition to other menu item sales. Staff wise on a very busy night I’d say at least 8 but it’s a tight space. We are painting the ceiling next week, and progress should be moving fast after that. Looking forward to posting more pictures soon.
